introducing baby {whisler}

Intorducing baby {whisler}...the sweetest little baby boy. I enjoyed every second of his first photo shoot and left with a big smile on my face. You can see why...

{braschwitz} session | newborn faq

I love photographing newborns. They are absolutely innocent and precious and my favorite to photograph. I have had several newborn sessions lately and have several in the future. There are always several questions that arise about the photo shoot. Therefore, I am providing a Newborn Faq.

It is somewhat important to contact me during maternity to let me know the approximate due date. Then we can schedule a date and move it if necessary towards the end of the pregnancy. Newborns photograph best within the first 10 days of life. Prick marks, wrinkly skin, umbilical cords, and peach fuzz are all part of being a newborn - don't worry about it.
I like to photograph newborns in their birthday suit or swaddled. The morning of the shoot, leave diapers loose so they do not leave harsh marks.
Within the first year, babies change very quickly. To capture all of the stages of growth (smiling, teeth, holding up head, holding up upper body, sitting up, crawling, walking...) it is best to have photos at birth, 3 mos., 6 mos., 9 mos., 12 mos., 18 mos., and 24 mos.
I like to leave a wide window open for newborns for feedings, diaper changes, and pampering.

Enjoy the newest addition to the Braschwitz family.
(Also, I have temporarily changed my logo stamp....go Buckeyes :)

lydia reese | {kitchen}

A few months ago I met Salina and Shawn Kitchen. Remember their maternity shoot? Well...meet baby Kitchen. They named her Lydia Reese (I know...another cute baby with another cute name). I forget just how small newborns are until I show up to a newborn photo shoot. I know you will love her hair. Enjoy :)

meet the {harrigal} family

It's time to start updating my blog site. I have been crazy busy this November and December with photos. I was standing in the living room of the family from my last session looking at all of their holiday cards. One jumped out at me. Remember the Knapke family? So cool...their holiday photo card made of my photos!
So....even though we are entering the new year, if you were a client of mine and have made a photo card using my photos, please send me one! I would love to see what you have come up with.
If you need my home address, email me at: j.clarkphoto@yahoo.com
It is also on the back of my business card.
Enjoy the {harrigal} family!
